Clean throughout. Decorative endpapers which read "Knowledge is power." John Willy book plate laid in. A very good+ copy. Erma Hubbell (1881-1963) worked in hotel management and as a hostess. At the time of the present work, she was based at the Ambassador Hotel on Wilshire Boulevard, a hotel famous for being the site of Robert F. Kennedy's assassination. Before moving to LA, Hubbell worked as a social executive for the Eppley chain of hotels in Omaha, Nebraska.
