Dr. Salters. General wear and toning due to age.. A pair of advertising envelopes for Dr. Salter's Perfumed Sachets which were mean as a moth preventive "for wardrobes, trunks, drawers, &c.". It is likely that the sachets were meant to be stored in the envelopes as it states "Do Not Open the Envelope". The two envelopes differ in their design elements, with the smaller of the two done in red ink with a decorative filigree border, and states the shop in Atlanta, GA, that it was sold from. The larger one has been done in red and light pink colors, and features raised lettering. Printers: Hammond & Jones (only for smaller envelope). Pair of envelopes, single sided. OCLC 0 (April 2021). Measures 3 1/2" x 2 1/4" (smaller), 4" x 2 1/2" (larger).
