FREEDOM TO ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS
Artwork by George Pennewell. Published by the Print Mint, Inc., Berkeley, CA, 1971.
Ephemera. Postcard, 7" x 5", featuring the image of a political prisoner in silhouette, most likely Angela Davis (who in 1971 was in fact a political prisoner incarcerated for her presumed role in assisting imprisoned Black Panther George Jackson's escape attempt) shackled to a chair with an American flag gaging her. The quote is based on the words of British politician John Morley in 1874. VERY GOOD CONDITION: some light rubs, scrapes, some creasing, but overall bright, clean and unmarked.
The Print Mint was a radical counterculture (truncated)
