Near Fine with slight lean to spine and softening at head and tail, light fading to boards, and shallow scratch to rear board. In a Near Fine unclipped dust jacket with light rubbing, toning, and edgewear, soiling to upper spine panel, and several tape repairs to verso edges. Bookseller card laid in. The laid-in card was printed by Kroch's and Brentano's, a prominent bookstore in Chicago ("The World's Largest"). The card states that this is "A first edition, autographed by the author especially for the members of the First Edition Circle. (Inventory #: 140947552)
