1920 · United States
United States, 1920. Good to very good. Toned with minor short tears or chipping, the occasional spot. Letter folds. Expanding envelope a little worn.. Two (2) original manuscripts and one (1) original typescript of what appears to be an unpublished original series of stories titled "The Amazin' Adventur's Uv Abner". Told in the first person in a mock-Southern accent, the stories paint the picture of a folksy, outrageous character for readers to chuckle at. The three items are contained in the original expanding wallet envelope measuring 4.75" by 10.25". The three items include:
"The Amazin' Adventur's uv Adbner". [United States, 1920s]. Four leaves handwritten in ink on rectos only, each measuring 10.5" by 8". Appears to be the first installment in the series, introducing the character of Abner and his propensity for wild tales and pitfalls.
"The Amazin' Adventur's uv Abner. The Darn[?] Dude's Diamond". [United States, 1920s]. Two leaves handwritten in ink on rectos only, each measuring 12" by 8". Abner and his friend Bill adventure along the Colorado River.
"The Amazin' Adventur's uv Adbner. Adventur' the Twenty-Tooth". [United States, 1920s]. Three leaves typewritten on rectos only, measuring 11" by 8.5" each. Abner has an adventure in 1876 in the Southwest. (Inventory #: 23002762)
