BILL ROBINSON (1878-1949). A versatile entertainer, Bill Bojangles Robinson was a pre-eminent tap dancer and starred in numerous films.PS. 11 x 14. 1938. No place. An oversized black and white studio photograph inscribed Just a few taps for my friends Lena & Charles Merchant With best wishes always Bill Robinson 1938. The image shows Robinson tap dancing in a tuxedo and top hat. It is signed to the right of his body and the inscription and signature are dark. There are pinholes in the corners and light scuffing and other minor faults. (Inventory #: 6555)
