The first published book of poetry by Di Prima, who was co-founder of the New York Poets Theatre, founder of Poets Press, and collaborated with Leroi Jones (co-owner of Totem Press) editing The Floating Bear. She taught at the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics, and associated closely with Allen Ginsberg, William S. Burroughs, and Gregory Corso, as well as Timothy Leary's psychedelic community at Millbrook. She continues to write and contribute to the poetic community - her most recent publication was released by City Lights in 2014.
