Inspired by the music of the Beatles, about a group of four British friends who must travel to Pepperland, a utopian underwater world, to fight the Blue Meanies. The film was not only popular among Beatles fans, but generated wider appreciation for animation as an art form for adults as well as children, and is today regarded as a landmark in the medium.
