Published by Hannah Macklin in 1805 (British Museum 1899,0420.44). Engraved by S.W. Reynolds. The original Rococo painting is called 'Paying the Ostler' is in the Laing Art Gallery permanent collection. George Morland (1763-1804) was an English painter. His Father and Grandfather were also painters. Samuel William Reynolds (1773-1835) was a mezzotint engraver from London. Hannah Macklin, nee Kenting died in 1808 was a printer and publisher.
