Dorothea Lange (b.1895 - d.1965) was an American photographer known for her photojournalistic work, and well known for her images of the Great Depression. This image is from a series of photographs that depict Albert and Elizabeth Elkus with their children, Jon and Ben Elkus. Albert Elkus was a well-known classical musician who taught at U.C. Berkeley and were also lifelong friends of Lange. (Inventory #: 345866)
