by GOLDSTEIN, David [with] AVERY, Martha Moore
Boston: Boston School of Political Economy, 1919. First Edition. Octavo. 19.5cm. Publisher's olive green cloth boards, titled and decorated in black to spine and front board. Dustjacket. [x]; 414pp. Light bumping to spine ends, some very light edgewear in places; internally clean with some offsetting to endpapers and a little toning, top edge slightly dusty, other edges untrimmed with a couple of areas of slightly careless opening to the fore-edge; in a clean example of the fragile dustjacket, chipped and toned to spine and with an abundance of tape reinforcement to the verso; a very good, handsome copy of the book in a worn dustjacket which makes it to good by dint of being present and correct.
A religious attack on revolutionary Socialism. Goldstein and Avery, both fervent socialists and Bellamyites in their early careers, converted to Catholicism in the early 1900s, after which they became active anti-Socialists and active in the Jewish evangelical movement. (Inventory #: 84025)
