United States, 1900. Good to very good. Toned with some light dust soiling, chipping to edges. Green ink stain to verso.. A c.1900 hand-lettered broadside charting one individual's personalized prayer schedule, akin to a Liturgy of the Hours. It is divided into two sections. The first gives a different letter-- perhaps corresponding to a section of the user's religious text-- to be used during one of seven periods throughout the days of the week. The times are very specific, down to the minute (e.g. "1:42pm-5:08pm"). The second section guides the user in five-minute prayers for four different times of day (morning, noon, afternoon, evening). The times have been transcribed in Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific times. Below is a guide to what each of the prayers should focus on (e.g. consolation, peace, fellowship, health). An interesting example of prayer made personal to the user. Measures approx. 18.75" by 11.75", verso blank, manuscript/penmanship in black, yellow, green, and red. (Inventory #: 20000395)
