1900. Stapled Pamphlet. Very Good binding. 8vo.; in publisher’s gray printed wrappers; 15 pages; there are no ownership or other marks in the book; there is a small stain to the bottom edge of the front cover.~~As a Preface, this nice introduction: “In the spring of 1810, when we were preparing to leave our residence in Prince Edward County, Virginia, for Rhode Island, Mr. John Randolph, who was on a visit to us, observed that we intended to leave Virginia, perhaps never to return, it was best our children should know who their ancestors were, and who were their relations. Accordingly, on his return to Roanoke, he wrote this account, gave it to me, and I have carefully preserved it.” Anne Marie (Lyman) Randolph.~~Uncommon in commerce; and not much better in institutional holdings. Very Good binding. (Inventory #: 298710)
