First edition, 2 volumes, 4to, pp. viii, 133, [1]; x, [2], 196; 3 large folding maps, 38 plates, over 100 figures in the text; the first 4 leaves of plates in volume II are variously torn and damaged due to adhesion (it's ugly, but the images are still largely intact); otherwise a nice enough copy in original printed cream wrappers. These two volumnes contain the scientific results of Dr. Emil Trinkler's expedition to Central Asia in 1927-28.Trinkler himseld did not live to see these volumes in print as he died in an automobile accident in Berlin in 1931.
