Tokyo: T. Hasegawa, 1896. Crepe paper. String ties. Good Plus. 15 by 10 cm. 28 pp., including cover. The cover is stained, with a short closed tear, upper front joint, and a small chip, lower right corner. Some roughness to its upper edge. The rear leaf also soiled, but more lightly and evenly so, and it hasn't been through the wringer. The second leaf -- where the story begins -- has some fading of its color and light soil and wear. After that, mostly clear, with slight curling of the leaves, lower right corner. Overall, not counting the first two leaves, the colors are vibrant, and more so than typical, we would say.
