by RODHAM, Hillary (et al, Eds)
New Haven: Yale Review of Law and Social Action, 1970. First printing. Quarto; pictorial card wrappers; 104pp; illus. Mild external soil; Near Fine.
Premier issue of this scholarly journal devoted to the intersection of American jurisprudence, law enforcement, and social justice. Hillary Rodham (later Clinton) was a founding member of the magazine's Editorial Board, though she does not contribute any signed articles to this issue. Noted contributors include Donald Goodman, Arthur Niederhoffer, Stuart Katz, Robert Borosage, Kas Kalba, Michael Walsh and others. The article by Kalba, "Lawyers and Revolutionaries: Notes from the National Conference on Political Justice," comments directly on the Chicago 8 trial, then just concluded. The magazine would later take an active position on the Trial of the New Haven Nine, one of the more prominent Black Panther trials of the Seventies. (Inventory #: 83964)
