Kansas City, MO: Anderson Photographers, 1942. Photographic Image. Near Fine. No Binding. A Near Fine 8' x 10" black and white photograph depicting the seven new officers, light creasing. Stamped verso "For additional photographs now or at any time Anderson Photographers" followed by faint phone number and street address. The Women's National Aeronautical Ass'n. was founded by Mrs. Orra Heald Blackmore, and Amelia Earhart was its 15th member, with her membership card being issued circa 1932-1933. Organized in twenty cities in different sections of the United States, it consisted of women interested in the development of aviation as well as women pilots, and its goal was to help in any way the furtherance of aeronautics, supporting air-mail, air travel, aviation legislation and women's wide knowledge and interest in aviation. The W.N.A.A. was succeeded by Women in Aviation International (WAI). The Anderson Photographers Company was a commercial photography firm operating in Kansas City from 1911 century until the early1970s. Precious little information or material about the W.N.N.A is available online today. .
