Oblong folio [36.5 cm x 44 cm] 1/4 black cloth with greenish-gray cloth covered boards, a silver stamped title on the spine, and Ansel Adams' initials stamped in silver on the front cover. Photographically illustrated endpapers. Contains 115 extended range photolithographic reproductions. The spine ends are a touch faded, and there is a previous owner's embossed stamp on the title page. In the dust jacket, which is in very good condition, with yellowing to the spine, and general light rubbing to the panels. With the slipcase, which is split in half, in poor condition. Will require extra postage due to weight. Adams's selection of the important works of his career to date. Inscribed by Adams, in the year of publication, on the half title page: "For_____, Ansel Adams, SLC 11-2-74." Adams was an American photographer and environmentalist, famous for his black-and-white photographs of the American West, especially in Yosemite National Park.
