Some of the children do live. One of several similar undated editions issued by McLoughlin in the 1860s-80s. 6.75'' x 4.75''. Original red pictorial cloth with pictorial paste-on. Brown endpapers. Illustrated with 48 chromolithographs. Gift inscription dated 1877 to front endpaper. Small chipping to paste-on. Small 1'' tape repair to title page and following leaf. Light wear and soiling to boards. Some foxing and soil to page margins throughout. (Inventory #: 27140)
