British illustrator Harold Copping (1863 - 1932) was best known for his portrayal of biblical scenes and his book "The Copping Bible" illustrated by himself. He also illustrated many classics including these Tales of (truncated) Shakespeare.

Bound in off white full leather covered boards with gilt titles to spines and gilt illustrations to front boards. Browning to spines and to edges of boards. Minor wear / soiling to boards, spine, and edges with a few small pulls to leather. Silk moire endpapers and full edges gilt. Tight bindings.
