London, 1850. Near-fine, with a couple minor spots and remnants of adhesive/scrap book to verso. A bright example with remarkably well-preserved lace, no tarnishing to silver.. An elaborate and remarkably well-preserved 12mo valentine made form lace paper, floral embossed Victorian scraps (including one in the center reading "Waiting for Thee"), and real hand-tatted lace visible through an oval surrounded by ruched silk mesh. A chromolithographed scrap below depicts an open book surrounded by roses. Lace paper is adorned with silver. Measures approx. 3" by 4.75
