Rear inner hinges neatly mended, light wear to edges and corners with a small spot on the upper board of volume one, occasional very light foxing,else a very good set.

Baring was nominated by Disraeli and appointed by Victoria the Concul-General of Egypt in 1877. WHen he returned to England in 1908, he published in these two volumes a narrative of events in Egypt and the Sudan since 1876.
