Two miniature books published to commemorate the two hundredth anniversary of the first battle of the American Revolutionary War at Concord and Lexington, in which the Americans were victorious. One book describes the battle from an American militia officer's point of view and the other from a British officer's viewpoint. A foreword by Revolutionary War scholar Allen French provides background.
Both volumes are attractively bound in full navy blue leather with gilt titles spines and front boards. Printed in Holland and bound in France. Both books have frontispiece portraits, red endpapers, and full edges gilt. Clean and bright. Housed in a blue cloth covered slipcase. 43 pages / 45 pages.
