Spokane, Washington: Inland Printing Co, 1904. Informational pamphlet prepared for distribution at the Louisiana Purchase Exposition, informally known as the St. Louis World’s Fair, in 1904. Designed for potential investors and settlers, it describes at length The Evergreen State’s natural resources and the industries associated with them, including forestry, agriculture, mining, and fisheries.
The State of Washington provided the St. Louis World’s Fair with one of its most remarkable buildings. Erected out of Washington logs on a concrete foundation, its one hundred-foot high observation station allowed visitors to view the Fair grounds. An elevator through the center took visitors to its five floors.
Pamphlet: [32] pp. including the internal wrappers, with numerous photographic illustrations. The leaves measure 8" x 9” and are folded in half within (as issued). Bound with a printed insert, complete with a perforated postcard (still intact), in pictorial green paper examples (4 1/2” x 9”). Near fine. (Inventory #: 77912)
