N.pl: U.S. Army and Air Force Medical Services, 1950. Very good. Sunning and wear to extremities of folder. Could be missing one or two information sheets, but appears largely complete. Pencil to upper cover of folder. An expansive information packet for recruitment officers, published by the U.S. Army and Air Force Medical Services. Offers information on the following corps: Medical Corps; Medical Service Corps; Dental Corps; Veterinary Corps; Nurse Corps; and Women's Medical Specialist Corps. The packet would have been distributed to recruiters, and contains printed 8.5" by 11" folders for each of the corps, each containing printed bifolia with information for interested recruits, each measuring approx. 10.5" by 8". The information provided includes: a brief overview of the corps; requirements for entry; basic and professional training offered; assignment information; pay and allowances. All contained in 13" by 9.5" printed folder with forward inside: "Responsibility for the success of [the military's] mission does not rest entirely upon the shoulders of the personnel of these great Army and Air Force medical teams. An Equally important responsibility lies with those concerned with the procurement of professional men and women for these services ... It is hoped that the contents of this INFORMATION KIT will prove of value to those whose primary duty it is to see that an adequate number of professional medical personnel is obtained by both services." In total, there are twelve (12) folders for each of the six (6) corps, and seventeen (17) information sheets, all housed in the original folder. Also included are nine (9) brightly colored red and blue sticker signs, all unused, for recruitment events reading "Join a unit! U.S. Army Reserve
