Contemporary gift inscription on the front free endpaper of volume 1. Light dampstaining to the top halves of the terminal leaves of volume 1. Page designations periodically misnumbered, effaced, or with typographical flaws, however all pages are present, and in the correct order. With 23 plates, including 5 folding plates, and 2 folding maps. The third plate in volume 5 is facing p. 174 instead of p. 175. The second plate in Volume 8 is facing p. 176 rather than p. 219.
