Charles August Conkling (1854-1944) was born May 12, 1854 in Le Roy, New York to Elias Conkling and his wife. He married Ellen Crecia Terry on August 19, 1887 in Idaho; they had four children together. Conkling was a dentist and rancher, as well as photographer. He operated the Phoenix Photographic Studio in Provo at the Union Block on Center Street. His images are rare. (Inventory #: 10067)
