In a price-clipped dust jacket, with mild fading to the spine, periodic closed tears and chips to the edges. The deepest tear measures 2" deep. Howard Fast (1914-2003) was an American novelist and television writer. This is his story of a street in New York, where the characters' lives are woven together. The characters include a young poet, a district politician, and a prostitute- all striving for the American Dream, which is just out of their reach.
