The Codex Mendoza is a largely pictoric history of the Aztec people, from the founding of Tenochtitlan circa 1325, to the Spanish conquest in 1521.
Volume I is a detailed interpretation of the codex, and includes appendices. Volume II includes an additional, reference heavy page-by-page description, a bibliography and an index. Volume III is a gorgeous, full color facsimile of the Codex Mendoza. The fourth volume serves to transcipt and translate the Spanish commentaries and glosses. (Inventory #: 67758)
