Man's Moment: poems provoked by Francyn's paintings

Barrett was the wife of geographer/author Robert LeMoyne Barrett. She also wrote "The Wide Awake Girls." The artist's identity is noted in OCLC as Cynthia Fuller. Agate was an author and essayist/journalist who wrote much about theatre. The paintings seem to represent birth but, as Agate states in his shuddering foreword, seem to be more about death.
