Savannah, 1872. Letter. Very good. Manuscript letter written on 4 lined sheets of paper on the front sides. Folded. Addressed to former Republican Governor of Georgia, Benjamin Conley, Atkin's starts the letter by stating "I have written to Hon. Jno. G. New, with request for him to submit it to the heads of the party in Washington for suggestions, the Following, Viz: - Propositions for Republican Adjustment." Atkins outlines the proposal in these 4 pages. Signed at the bottom of page 4 "Yours Truly, James Atkins."
