Good. 4to. 25 by 21cm. 50 hand-colored plates, each featuring the coat-of-arms of the ruler of a kingdom, principality or other sovereign state in the Europe of the day, with a substantial number of these being in present day Germany. Accompanying each of the color plates, besides a tissue guard, is a plate with a family tree of the ruling family. These plates are often folding. In a few instances, there are two folding plates for a family tree. The contemporary blindstamped cloth has rubbed spots on the (truncated)
