In Very Good minus condition with a Good condition dust jacket. Spine is brown with black lettering. Dust jacket is wrapped in a mylar covering, price uncut "$2.00", has mild shelving wear, stains on the front and rear covers, moderate age toning throughout, tears along the front tail edge, large open tears along the tail fore corners, open tears along the spine edges, tape on the fore corners and head joint corner, and wear along the extremities. Boards have light bumping on the fore corners, fraying along the head corners, and wear along the extremities. Textblock has a black pen inscription to previous owner on the front pastedown page, bending along the front pastedown, stain on the front end-page, mild stains throughout, a black ink stain on pages 11-12, bending wear on page 11, mild bending wear on the tail fore corners from the front free end-page to page 36, age toning along the edges, and staining along the head edges. DL consignment. Shelved in Case 14. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry was born on June 29, 1900 in Lyon, France. In 1921 he joined the French air force, and he qualified as a military pilot a year later. In 1926 he joined the Compagnie Latécoère in Toulouse and helped establish airmail routes over northwest Africa, the South Atlantic, and South America. In 1944 he took off on a flight over France and disappeared.
