by [ROOSEVELT] GROSVENOR, Charles H.
[N.p.; issued without imprint or attribution, ca. 1904]. 12mo. Staple-bound pamphlet; printed paper wrappers; 24pp. Covers slightly grubby, with shallow chip to rear wrapper (away from printed area); Very Good.
Anonymously-issued campaign pamphlet for Theodore Roosevelt's 1904 Presidential campaign, directed to American workers. First portion quotes from Rep. Charles H. Grosvenor's [NY] speech on the floor of the House of Representatives, March 28, 1904; remainder consists of brief extracts highlighting the positive Labor record of Roosevelt and the Republican Party. Includes a section on the Anthracite Strike of 1902, which the authors blame on "...a vast stream of immigration of Poles, Hungarians and Slavs into the coal regions," resulting in a steady decline in miners' wages. A somewhat uncommon Roosevelt Presidential item; OCLC notes about a dozen physical locations in the U.S. (Inventory #: 82892)
