Large 8vo, pp. 95, [1]; text in Japanese; portrait plate; original printed wrappers bound in; later orange cloth; wrappers and edges of textblock stained, else very good. Kyuya's early career was marred by plagiarism, but later in life he became well known for writing One Hundred Mountains of Japan. He was himself an Alpinist and traveled through Central Asia and the Soviet Union on mountaineering trips. His collection was largely focused on that region. (Inventory #: 68690)
