A small 3 x 4 1/2 inch; 76 x 114 mm note card with the first three note from the score of his famous "West Side Story", hand-drawn in black ink and underneath signed "Leonard Bernstein".
These three notes which are written alongside a treble clef are F, B-flat, and E, heard as a "whistle," are are the important sound of the gang’s whistle signal. These are the first three notes heard at the very start of the prologue and continues as a theme throughout both the play and the film.
