Parker — formerly belonging to Kathrine Sorley Walker, co-editor of Chandler's letters and uncollected writings for his literary estate. After Chandler's death in 1959, his agent Helga Greene inherited his literary estate, emerging victorious after a legal battle initiated by Chandler's secretary Jean Fracasse, who claimed that Greene had employed alcohol and emotional persuasion to induce Chandler to change his will in her favor.
