Troyes) Languedoc: (Pierre de Rau) Chasteau de Chantilly, 1605. First edition. Hardcover. Very good. 8vo. (63), 56, (8) leaves. Modern half vellum , marbled paper boards, ink spine title. Woodcut portrait of Nostradamus on the title page, which is lightly rubbed and with a tiny repair on the top margin not affecting the text. Contemporary faded signature on the title page. A few pages with light dampstaining, A2 verso with a top corner touching one letter of text. Overall a very good copy.
The first edition to contain the 141 Presages from the 1555-67 Almanachs and the 58 Sixains. Rare.
The title page bears no statement of printing or place, only the date, but references suggest it was printed at Troyes by Pierre de Ruau. The first of the final eight leaves state: "Par Vincent Seue de Baucaire en Languedoc, des le 19 Mars 1605 au Chasteau de Chantilly, maison de Monseigneur le Connestable de Montmorency."
