Robert Rhodes McGoodwin was an American architect and educator, best known for his suburban houses in the Chestnut Hill and Mount Airy sections of Philadelphia. From 1910 to 1925, McGoodwin served as an instructor in design at the University of Pennsylvania. He continued teaching until 1924. McGoodwin was the architect for the Lea Library and the 1940 additions to Houston Hall on the University’s campus. 148 plates printed recto only. Three complimentery articles on the work of McGoodwin by Charles Z. Lauder, Ralph Adams Cram and G.H. Edgell. Plans to scale, photographs of interior and exterior designs by McGoodwin.
