Jein designed the award-winning miniatures in the film relating to director Michael Cimino's elaborate reproduction of New York's Chinatown, reproduced entirely on a soundstage, and so realistic that Stanley Kubrick—born in the Bronx—had to be convinced by Cimino after seeing the (truncated)
