Privately printed copy of Varden's unpublished memoir. Varden details her own experience in her father's, Clemens Belling, circus shows, often featuring the titular poodle. Varden goes further back into circus history however, detailing family lore of five generations of European and American circus and vaudeville performers, beginning with "G.G.G." (first name unknown), her Great-Great-Grandfather, who allegedly participated in Philip Astley's circus. Full of history, anecdotes, and amusing stories, many told to Varden by her father in his final days when he could no longer perform due to health issues. Only one copy in OCLC at time of writing.
