Tall octavo (27cm); grey paper-covered boards and sage green cloth backstrip, with supplied title label mounted to spine; [8],9-79,[1]pp. Some toning, hand-soil, and faint foxing to covers, light wear to extremities, with the usual offsetting to endpapers, and the pictorial bookplate of Frederick and Marianne Inwood mounted to front pastedown; there is no rectangular slip covering the name of the press on the title page (present in some copies, with no priority noted by the bibliographer); Very Good and sound. An early book by Williams, in a (truncated) short-lived series edited by Ezra Pound. Williams describes the book as "a satire on the novel form in which a little (female) Ford car falls more ore less in love with a Mack truck" (see WALLACE A6a). (Inventory #: 82354)
