A unique copy of this extremely rare ornate alphabet, lithographed after the drawings of the painter and engraver Achille Devéria. This copy was presented to Prince Roland Bonaparte by Deveria's son, and comprises a title and 34 leaves, as opposed to 31 leaves listed in OCLC. This copy contains a second plate for I in an Egyptian style and two non-alphabetical plates. In a handwritten note, which explains that the extra I was not included in the publication and the letter O is stained, will have to be replaced. A rare book with OCLC listing UC Irvine, Harvard,Texas and 2 in Paris.
