Moore County, North Carolina, 1857. Letter. Good. Bifolium letter. Single sheet of paper, measuring approx. 15" x 12". Folded. 3 pages of manuscript. Small pin holes and edge chips to the paper with very little loss of content. Paper is creased and lightly toned.
Letter dated April 26th, 1857 is addressed to his friend William Burcheson (sp?). Nicholson writes to tell his friend that he is in the land of the living. Nicholson covers a variety of subjects catching his friend up with the latest happenings. The first part of the letter described the freeze that killed the peachtrees.
