"Tung Chia" is a pseudonym for J. O. P. Bland (John Otway Percy Bland). This was his first book. He worked for Chinese Customs from 1883-1896 serving as Sir Robert Hart's private secretary. This is a book of light verse about life among the foreign expatriate communities in Chinese treaty ports. In 1896, he took (truncated)
