Tongue-in-cheek fun book of dance etiquette, issued as the tango was the rage, having spread rapidly from its birthplace of Buenos Aires to everywhere in the West, and also coincident with the general explosion of interest in ballroom dancing, as spearheaded by the Castles and a loosening of the puritanical strictures that applied to social dancing previously. The element of parody is established even before reaching the title page, with on the limitation page, this copy is numbered 987, 654,321, ansd on the facing page, the list of other Bert Milton titles includes "Stuttering Versus False (truncated) Teeth" and the like. Small illustrations on every page, and often two or three. Scarce -- only copy recorded on OCLC First Search at the NYPL. 23 cm tall, 10 cm wide. Unpaginated, 13 glossy leaves.
