Small, unobtrusive bookplate to the front paste down, internally clean, original cloth, with a few marks and light rubbing, else near fine. Dumas' historical romance of the affair surrounding the necklace attributed to Marie Antoinette, much closer to the truth than is la Motte's (the primary conspirator). (Inventory #: 1076)
