Naphtali "Tuli" Kupferberg (1923-2010) was a key figure in the American countercultural movement of the 1960s and a co-founder of the freak folk band The Fugs. In 1958, Kupferberg started The Birth Press with Sylvia Topp, which published a number of beat and anarchist-influenced magazines and pamphlets, including this title, which provides 1005 (more than promised) ways to live without working. Among our favorites are #156: sell your books, #980: be Tarzan, and #1005: don't work. (Inventory #: 77206)
