New York: Derby & Jackson, 1858. 1/2 leather. Very Good. Very early American editions (1858 and 1859) of Charlotte Bronte's collected works, published pseudonymously under the name "Currer Bell". All 3 volumes solid and VG in their light-brown calf over marbed boards. 5 raised bands and 2 dark-leather title labels along each spine, matching marbled endpapers, pastedowns and edges. Clean and bright internally, with no writing or overt markings to speak of. This collection represents Charlotte Bronte's first 3 (of 4) published novels. (Inventory #: 23342)
