Small spot of worming from title through ff. 39. Otherwise clean and complete.
Translation of the Gospel commentary of Theophylact of Ohrid (Ca. 1055-after 1107] by Calvinist Protestant reformer, Johannes Oecolampadius (1482-1531). According to the USTC, the earliest printing of this title was also in Cologne, in 1528, with others appearing after 1541 in 1543, 1567, and 1568.
Note, there are 3 1541 editions listed in USTC: a folio and two octavos of the same pagination. This edition has a different engraved title bearing the coat of arms of Arnold Brickmann. USTC 696852 (7 Holdings).. (Inventory #: 6753)
